Hey folks, this episode was recorded on new equipment in a new studio…so if you notice a slightly different sound, that’s why.

We have a new website!

Since the Dragon is on vacation, we’re hoping you can nab some pictures of him. Best pic of the Dragon on vacation wins a $10 gift certificate to DriveThruRPG! Send your entries to feedback@2gms1mic.com.

Regarding Gen Con, please send us your thoughts regarding how we should run games there.

Shoutouts!

Joe was way off on types of plot: According to this site, there are only seven.

Joe also totally confused the Ashanti Empire with the Empire of Dahomey. He also screwed up the etymology of Nkisi, it’s Bantu not Swahili. Sorry folks, his face is RED!

Shoutout to Avalon Game Company! They publishing a ton of GMing advice books.

You should check out the Western Bookshelf over at project Gutenberg if you want to try out what Joe was talking about.

The song for Dresden was “Locked Within The Crystal Ball” by Blackmore’s Night; “Which side are you On?” by Dropkick Murphys was actually for a Castles & Crusades campiagn set in a city we made up.

Nicky’s Vampire game’s anthem is “Won’t get Fooled again” by the Who.

Some inspiration for you from youtube:
“March of Cambreadth” Heather Alexander
“He’s a Pirate” Pirates of the Caribbean
“Castle Hall” Aeryon
“X is Coming” DMX
“Gettysburg (1863)” Iced Earth

Music Section

“Roll the Dice, Make my Day [Stick Jones Remix]” (Stick Jones)

  • At LAST. But please, next time? Don’t post “season three is here! Just wait a lil’ bit!” and make us wait almost 2 more weeks.

Good episode. Always a great pleasure to hear “Favourite games of the week” section. You’re my source of information about various RPG systems I never heard about before. Keep up the good work!

  • I’m really sorry for the cocktease, we actually had some minor issues with the new equipment and it delayed us. I really wanted to let people know we weren’t simply gone forever, that’s why I posted it.

  • Loved the suggestion for music as influence. My group’s pretty excited about playing Scion and I had no idea what to do with a story but after your episode I was inspired to use Say Anything’s “A Walk Through Hell” as my first bit of source material and it’s snow balling from there.

  • That is exactly what I do when I’m stuck, too. What level of Scion are you running?

  • I’m gonna start at Hero (maybe legend two or three) and have plans to rocket through to God in by Mid-July. I was in Matt’s Scion game and am way eager to lead my own group through the trilogy, as it were.

  • Generally, I don’t pay too much attention to the music that you add to the episodes, but the song Monsters by woodrowgerber really grabbed me and I had to buy the album. The song is so eerie, and it really set the mood since I was reading Hunter: The Vigil while listening. Very good episode, enjoyed it a lot, thanks!
