This episode, we appease our most vociferous fans in giving an in-depth look at Gen Con and our experience there. Overall it was very positive. However, we have a few minor quibbles that are addressed…however non-specific they may be. There are a whole lot of new favorite games that came out of Gen Con for us, and we look forward to talking about all of them!
The inspiration for this episode came from our Facebook page, so join up already! Of course, you can always drop us a line at 2gms1mic@gmail.com, Twitter, or the comments section!

I wish I was able to travel to an American Con. Postmortem has no presence at any and it’s a crying shame.
I agree, Ian. Your stuff is awesome and deserves a bigger American presence. I wonder if there was some way to work out a seller’s arrangement somewhere. I know some British companies make it out to Gen Con.
Great show! And always great to see some love for Shard.
-Eloy
I was unaware you were a fan of Shard, Eloy! It’s a wonderful game, and we all pretty much love it to death.
Yeah! I met Aaron and Scott my first GenCon and we became fast friends.
-Eloy
I followed up a link of Robins and really enjoyed your madly enthusiastic podcast. It’s great to hear some love for Mutant City Blues, it’s possibly my favourite GUMSHOE game, even with that whole Cthulhu thing.
We try to be madly enthusiastic all the time. There is far too much awesome in our hobby to not be enthusiastic about it!
Hurrah! I’m a Pelgranista and was on the booth for much of the Con running demos so my appreciation for your love of GUMSHOE is not entirely disinterested but it is genuine. “This girl” who sold you MCB was Ennie award winning Beth Lewis.
By the way Joe I have that screen for you if you want to email me
You know, on the Gencon asshole thing? DragonCon just happened in Atlanta a couple weekends ago, and the rate of truly obnoxious people was through the roof.
Freddy, I am glad I’m not the only one who noticed. How was DragonCon btw?
