Episode Eleven: Nothing Rhymes with Eleven

This episode we’re talking about GMing combat. We err on the side of practical advice and personal observations as opposed to our usual deep discussion. We all know that physical conflict is generally pretty important in RPGs, and we try to give it the treatment is deserves. This is probably our most advice intensive episode so far…and we’re sorry it’s a touch long this week.

If you’re not our friend on Facebook, why not? Be sure to follow us on Twitter (@2gms1mic) too! Of course, feel free to comment or email us.

Episode Ten: Ten Again!

This episode, we appease our most vociferous fans in giving an in-depth look at Gen Con and our experience there. Overall it was very positive. However, we have a few minor quibbles that are addressed…however non-specific they may be. There are a whole lot of new favorite games that came out of Gen Con for us, and we look forward to talking about all of them!

The inspiration for this episode came from our Facebook page, so join up already! Of course, you can always drop us a line at 2gms1mic@gmail.com, Twitter, or the comments section!

Saturday Night Special

Hi everyone, as promised here is our GenCon Saturday Night Special!

We are joined tonight by Kurbis, Joe’s younger brother, and Epic, the star player of our regular gaming group.

This podcast was recorded in our motel room at the extended stay suites in Indianapolis. As a result, the quality is not quite up to par with our usual fare. Nicky and Joe would like to take this time to thank Nicky’s husband Chris for being a fantastic editor and Joe’s brother Stick Jones for being able to make us sound as good as we do normally.

Instead of regular show notes, I’ll end with a list of the games we’ve mentioned.

Remnants
Part Time Gods
Ashen Stars
Book of Unremitting Horror
Fear Itself
Quack in the Box
Sundered Skies
Necropolis

Episode Nine: Rhyme Time!

Hey everybody, it’s another episode! This one’s about the accoutrements of GMing: the sorts of things every GM should have at their table. Not all groups or Gms require the same stuff, of course, but we tried to illustrate the sorts of thing that are always on our table! From screens to chips to pencils, we highlight a bunch of the random stuff that makes your life easier as a GM or player in our fantstic hobby.

Is there something on your table we didn’t mention? An indispensible something? Telk to us about it on Facebook, Twitter, or the comments section! Of course, if it’s something super secret cool, drop us a line at 2gms1mic@gmail.com
